It was b...This is the first church I ever attended. It was beautiful. The services were very long and I used to sneak off and investigate the balcony, gardens, basement, classrooms and recognized all pictures, except the rooms with fireplaces and bookcases. God only knows what Bro. Jolly did there. Sister and I wanted to see it when our Dad passed in 1997, but we didn't have time. I will be there when they open. I'm excited. I hope they don't ruin it. It should be on the Historic Register. It was non-denominational Pentecostal Church then, The Gospel Assembly. It was such a beautiful building. It breaks my heart to see it like this and the thought of it being turned into a restaurant and beer garden sickens me.
